What a COA is

A Certificate of Analysis is the testing document a pharmacy or its testing laboratory issues for a specific batch of medication. It records what the batch was tested for — typically identity, potency, and sterility — and what the testing found. It is tied to a lot number, not to a product in general, which is why a COA is only meaningful when it matches the vial in your hand.

Why we point you to it

Medications prescribed through BioPeakRx are dispensed by state-licensed, FDA-registered pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and they are prepared only pursuant to a valid prescription written by a licensed provider after a clinical evaluation. Because there is no FDA approval package behind a compounded preparation, the pharmacy's batch testing is the documentation that matters — and you are entitled to ask for it.

Anyone selling you an injectable who cannot produce a lot-matched COA is asking you to take their word for it. We would rather you check.

How to request your COA

COAs are lot-specific, so we do not post a general library of them — a COA for someone else's batch tells you nothing about yours. Request the one that matches your medication:

  • Current patients — message your care team in the member portal, or call us. Have the lot number printed on your vial or box ready.
  • Not a patient yet — contact us and we will explain which pharmacies dispense for us and what their testing covers.
